Melvin Barth

Melvin Barth, age 93, died Sunday May 17, 2015 at his Erlanger residence. He was a retired Iron Worker and started in 1946 with Iron Workers Local 44. Mel was a proud Army veteran and served his country during WWII. He was a member of St. Pius Church in Edgewood. Survivors include his wife Evelyn of Erlanger; son Craig (Karen) Barth of Florence, KY; daughter Marsha (Joe) Wermes of Highland Hts., KY; stepson Mark Kleckner of Lexington, KY; and brother Dan Barth of Elsmere. Mel was grandpa to 6 grandchildren and great grandpa to 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Jane (Cahill), loving Mother of Craig and Marsha.
Visitation will be Thursday May 21st, 5-7pm at St. Pius Church in Edgewood. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 7pm. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to: St. Henry District High School, 3755 Scheben Dr., Erlanger, KY 41018.
