Melissa “Missy” Sue Eldridge-Parrett, age 44, passed away on July 6, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Missy was a proud graduate of Holmes High School, Class of 1997, and found fulfillment in her roles as a Specialist B at Toyota-Boshoku America Inc. and as a gracious Funeral Hostess at Linnemann Funeral Homes. Her dedication and kindness touched the lives of countless people in her community.

Missy had a passion for life that was infectious. She dreamed of living near the beaches of Florida, a goal she held close to her heart throughout her life. Despite not achieving this dream, she found immense joy in her travels to beach destinations, cheering on the Bengals and Reds at games, and spending sunny days by the pool. She had a passion for music, attending concerts, and sharing memorable movie nights with loved ones. Missy’s vibrant personality and love for life will be remembered fondly by her extensive circle of friends, including her cherished group “The Gina’s.”

Above all, Missy treasured moments spent with her children, Brendon, Chloe, Evan, and Cassidy Parrett, who were the light of her life. She cherished her mother, Carolyn Eldridge-Williams, her brother Steve Eldridge and his fiancée Kimberly Robbins, and her niece Tabby (Matt) Covington and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Missy’s loyal companions, Skye and Daisy, were always by her side, bringing her joy and comfort. Missy was preceded in death by her father, Don “Duck” Eldridge.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at First Church of Christ, Burlington. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 4:00pm, where friends and family are invited to honor her memory by wearing bright, tropical colors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parrett Family Memorial Fund at The Huntington Bank . Online condolences can be left at www.LinnemannFuneralHomes.com.

Deepest Condolences

I had the pleasure of working with Missy when she was a Summer Program leader for Covington Schools back in 2001-2002 summers. The kids loved her and so did her co-workers. Her smile lit up the room and her famous saying hey girllll friend whenever she saw you. It didn’t matter where we were. She will be missed by many, but will leave a legacy with her beautiful children. My heart goes out to them and her family.

She Was a Hero

Dear Parretts,

We are deeply saddened about the tragic incident that occurred, and we want to extend our heartfelt condolences to you during this unimaginably difficult time. The bravery and selflessness displayed by Missy in protecting Chloe is nothing short of heroic.

Losing a loved one, especially your mother, under such tragic circumstances is an immense tragedy, and no words can fully express the pain and grief that you must be experiencing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers, and that we are here to offer any support or assistance that you may need.

Missy will always be remembered for her strength, courage, and unwavering dedication to you and your safety. Her sacrifice serves as a testament to the boundless love and devotion she had for her family. It is a reminder to us all of the profound impact that a mother’s love can have on those around her.

During this challenging time, may you find solace in the memories you shared with Missy and draw strength from the support of your friends, family, and community. Remember that you are not alone in your grief, and that there are people around you who care deeply and are willing to help in any way they can.

Please accept our deepest sympathies once again. May you find comfort in the healing power of time and may the memories of Missy bring you peace and strength in the days ahead.

With sincere condolences,

The Gilson’s

Hugs, Love, and Prayers

To all those who were a part of Missy’s life:
When something like this happens we often ask “ why? “ I wish we had an answer. The best we can do is come together and celebrate who Missy is, and show love to the people still here that are grieving. I think that’s what she would want— for us to show love. We knew Missy, Bruce, Brendon, Chloe, and the twins from our time at Watermark Church. We are praying for comfort and peace. Adam and Kathy Dunn

Best neighbor a girl could have

RIP Missy . This neighborhood will never be the same without you! My girls and I miss you every day. They miss your daily “Hey girlfrienddddd” you would say each time they ran to your house to say hello (aka every time you stepped outside lolol). When we moved here 5 years ago you were the first person to invite me over to chat and hang out, I appreciated that more than you could ever know. You’ve always been a friend to our family and you’ll be forever missed but never forgotten.

prayers

To the family and friends of Missy I want to pay my respects. I met Missy through a coworker at Kays and when she would stop in we would talk briefly. Her smile would light up a room and I know she touched more lives than we will ever know. She is now with God and his bright colors surround her in every way. Gone to soon, yet always in the hearts of many. May she rest in peace until the day we are all raised back up from the dead. May God put his arms around everyone touched by her and protect us from the sorrow we now endure. RIP Missy.

She was a bright light.

There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they are gone, the light remains. Missy was one of those lights, I will remember and miss her smiling beautiful face, around the office. Her smile was like a warm hug which made you feel so special. I’m wishing you peace and comfort. My deepest condolences to you and your family during this time. Your Mother was an amazing women, and she will be truly be missed. Her Legacy Lives on in You.
Sending prayer up.

Deepest Sympathy

I had the pleasure of working with Missy at TBA and getting to know her. When I saw the news, my heart broke for her and her family and I was in complete disbelief that this act of senseless violence could have been perpetrated on such a wonderous, joy-filled human. Her absence at the office leaves a huge gap in all our hearts but her legacy will live on through her memory and we promise that we will never forget her kind presence. May God grant you peace and strength in this incredibly difficult time.
