Melissa Davis

Melissa Dawn Davis (nee Brown), 59, of Alexandria, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY.  Melissa was born in Maysville, KY on September 2, 1964 to the late Charles and Joyce (Myers) Brown. Throughout her life, Melissa worked as an Executive Assistant for various companies including US Precision Lens (USPL), Xanodyne Pharmaceutical, and Oxford Financial Group.  She was a former member of Central Baptist, a volunteer at Frankie’s Furry Friends, and other local animal shelters and rescues. She loved the doctors and nurses and was thankful for the care and compassion she received at the St. Elizabeth Cancer Center and St. Elizabeth Hospice.

In addition to her parents, Melissa was preceded in death by her brother Michael Brown. She is survived by her beloved husband Mike Davis, daughter Amanda Heineke (Brandon), granddaughters Charlotte “Charlee” and Eloise “Ellie” Heineke, dear friend Michelle Nelson, and a host of loving family members and friends.  A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Linnemann Funeral Home and Event Center Burlington, KY with a memorial service immediately following. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at the Linnemann Event Center following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Campbell County Animal Shelter, 1989 Poplar Ridge Rd, Melbourne, KY 41059
