Meaghan Ann Wheeler
Meaghan Ann Wheeler, 21, of Florence, KY passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2020 in Louisville, KY. She was born March 19, 1999 in Cincinnati, OH. Meaghan was a very loving and outgoing person, and she had a positive attitude. She liked to help others, especially kids and the elderly. In high school she worked at St. Charles Care Center in Ft. Wright, and in college she worked for a Nanny service. Meaghan went to St. Paul for elementary school, Notre Dame Academy for two years, and was a student at the University of Louisville. In her school years, she enjoyed playing soccer, and hanging out with her friends. She enjoyed singing and drawing, and was a very creative, fun loving, and loyal girl. She was a loving dog mom to her precious “Theo”. She was preceded in death by her mother: Denise Wheeler, she is survived by her loving father: John Wheeler Sr., her beloved siblings: Sarah (Andrew Brownfield) Wheeler, Heather (Casey) Wilson, and John Wheeler Jr., her dear aunt: Dorothy Blust, and several other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A visitation will be held for Meaghan on Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Parish, 7301 Dixie Hwy, Florence, KY 41042. Following Mass, Meaghan will be laid to rest next to her mother at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH. Memorial contributions can be made in Meaghan’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.

I met Megan in high school. She had the most wonderful smile. It seemed to me she knew instinctively when smiles were easy and when they were hard. It did not take her so many words or so many moments to understand others. She was empathetic, sometimes I thought without even realising it, to everyone around her. There are many whom she touched this way. Her knowing smiles made strangers feel less strange. It is a feeling I have never forgotten. They were gifts I will always treasure.
