Max Kanter

Max J. Kanter, 82, of Burlington, died June 27, 2011 at Villa Springs Nursing Facility in Erlanger. He was the beloved husband of Harriet Kanter for 57 years. He was the devoted father of Gary Kanter (Kim) of Edgewood, Bryan Kanter (Janet) of Villa Hills, Kevin Kanter (Maria) of Villa Hills, and Scott Kanter (Laurie) of Villa Hills. He was the dear grandfather of Elizabeth (Bartz), Eric Kanter, Lauren Fotsch, Megan Kanter, Rachel Kanter, Brandon Kanter, Nick Kanter, Kylie Kanter and Kara Kanter. He was also loving brother to Connie Howell (Lee) of Traver City, Michigan and Carl Kanter (Theresa) of Lapeer, Michigan. He retired from Square D ( Schneider Electric) after 37 years of service as a Traffic and Purchasing Manager. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Burlington, and loved his home in Florida where he enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family. He was a member of American Legion Post 113 in Florida, and a war veteran who served as an MP in Heidelberg, Germany. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29th, from 4:00-6:00 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Burlington. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation immediately at 6:00 PM. Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington is handling arrangements . Memorials are suggested to: Covington Catholic High School, 1600 Dixie Highway, Park Hills, KY 41011. A private interment will take place for the family at Forest Lawn.
