Mary Poston

Mary Jean Poston, age 87, died at her residence on Sunday February 22nd after a lengthy illness. She was long time Member of Burlington Baptist Church and a Burlington resident. She worked for 30 years with the Boone County Fiscal Court as a receptionist and secretary for the Judge Executive’s Office. Her husband, Nelson Poston, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Poston Bugg of Georgetown, KY and 2 sons, Dwight and Dan Poston of Burlington. Mary Jean was “Nanny” to 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. Visitation will be Thursday, February 26th 10-11am, at Linnemann Funeral Home and Event Center, Burlington. A funeral service will follow immediately at 11am. Burial will be in Burlington Cemetery.
