Mary Kay Kenning

Mary Kay, age 92, wife of the late Ron Kenning, entered into eternal rest on July 20^th, 2025.  She was born Mary Katherine Widrig on February 12, 1933, to the late Thomas and Catherine Widrig and was sister to the late Delores Widrig.  On November 7^th, 1953, she married the love of her life, Ron.  They had 57 wonderful years together. Although they were not blessed with children of their own, Ron’s three nephews’ families became their family.  Steve (deceased) & Mary Beth, Bob & Debbie, John (Toad) & Linda, and was she was Aunt Tootsie to 9 great and 18 great, great nieces and nephews

An avid volunteer, her work involved BeConcerned, AARP Tax Aide Program, St Elizabeth Hospital, and St. Agnes church. She loved the theatre and loved to read. She belonged to “The Movie Club” and was one of the NDA “Club Girls.”  She enjoyed yard work and visiting elderly friends.  She loved animals, especially her dog Molly.  Mary Kay. enjoyed the time she spent with family & friends, especially time spent with Ron, traveling, vacationing in Englewood, Fla., playing golf, shopping, visiting the casinos, seeing a movie once in a while, and stealing a bite of his dessert at a family dinner.  In later life, rarely did you see one without the other.  Ron died in 2010.  Now they are united again for all eternity.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25^th at 10:30AM at St Agnes.  Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30AM.  Burial at Mother of God cemetery will take place in private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to:  BeConcerned 714 Washington St., Covington, KY 41011-2315.
