Mary Joan Ware
Mary Joan Ware, passed away on May 7, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. She was 69 years old.
Mary Joan was born to Marvin and Mary Catherine Briggs, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her mother-in-law, Miriam Ware. Mary Joan is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Ware, and their children, Craig (Deanna) Ware and Angie (Mike) Smith. She was a devoted grandmother to Nicholas Unkraut, Alyssa Ware, Ryan Ware, and step-grandchild Ashley Smith. Mary Joan is also survived by her sister, Joyce (Paul) Stetter, and their son, nephew David Stetter, along with several other nieces and nephews.
For 34 years, Mary Joan was the proud owner of Art Floral in Ft. Mitchell, where her creativity and passion for floral design brought joy to countless individuals. Beyond her professional endeavors, Mary Joan found immense happiness in simple pleasures: dining out, hosting gatherings, and spending quality time with her beloved family and friends. She had a zest for life and cherished moments spent traveling, lounging by the pool, and basking in the serenity of the beach.
In remembrance of Mary Joan’s vibrant spirit and compassionate nature, a memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mary Queen of Heaven Church, located at 1150 Donaldson Hwy, Erlanger, KY 41018. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Autism Speaks, a cause close to Mary Joan’s heart. Contributions can be sent to PO Box 37148, Boone, IA 50037-0148.

My deepest condolences to you in the passing of Mary Joan. I had no idea that she was ill. I feel worse that I didn’t catch it in the death notices. My Mom was a close friend to Mary Joan and Joyce’s mom. And I knew all of you from the days at St Therese. Steve and family, we are totally DEVASTATED by the passing of Mary Joan. It is so very sad. Even tho we didn’t get to see her often, we totally Loved it when we got to see the Both of u.
