Mary Gunkel

Mary Ellen Gunkel, 87, entered into eternal life on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Atria Summit Hills. She was a long time member of St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs, KY and a retired nurse’s aide from Madonna Manor. Mary Ellen was preceded in passing by her parents, Andrew and Regina Kahn and husband Melvin Elmer Gunkel (2014). She will be dearly missed by her daughters: Diane Garber (Milton) of Jefferson City, MO, Karen Anderson (Orren) of Minot, ND, Linda Krumpelman (Stanley) of Villa Hills, KY, Christine “Tina” Cummings Weber (Lee) of Lexington, KY, and Julie Eten of Villa Hills, KY; her sister Audrey Shumate (Thomas) of Cincinnati, OH; as well as grandchildren: Sarah Garber, Erin Cummings, Jackie Romito (Andy), and Nicholas Eten. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Linnemann Family Funeral Home in Erlanger, KY. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs, KY with burial to follow at Mother of God Cemetery in Covington, KY.
