Mary Grout

Mary J. Grout, nee: Baumann, 86, formerly of Villa Hills, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at St. Elizabeth in Edgewood, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Grout, and her brother, Rev. Edward J. Baumann. She is survived by her children: Ed Grout (Pam), Mary Anne Kordenbrock (Bob), Carol Koester (Dave), Mike Grout (Judy), Steve Grout (Martha), Gina Danks (Jim), Tim Grout (Karen), Madonna Schultz (Ken), Angela Groeschen (Eric), Chris Grout (Susan), Greg Grout, and Dan Grout (Kris). She is also survived by her siblings: Rita Barth (Roy), Norb Baumann (Pauline), Don Baumann (Judy), Anna Mae Bullen (Barry) and brother-in-law Ted Grout (Anne). She is also survived by her 45 grandchildren: Melissa Koester, Todd Kordenbrock, Scott Kordenbrock, Katie Crenshaw, Brian Koester, Tony Kordenbrock, Laura Brauch, Rob Koester, Jeff Danks, Philip Grout, Eddie Grout, Jr, Julia Kordenbrock, Molly Danks, Sharon Smith, Anna Grout, Trisha Bremer, Simon Grout, Susie Beiting, Mike W. Grout, Joe Kordenbrock, Ben Groeschen, Tommy Grout, Joseph Groeschen, Becky Grout, Mary Beth Schultz, Robert Grout, Matthew Groeschen, Bradley Schultz, David Grout, Amy Grout, Nick Grout, Joshua Grout, Zachary Groeschen, Justin Schultz, Kevin Grout, Megan Grout, Neal Grout, Sarah Grout, Maria Groeschen, Betsy Grout, Hannah Groeschen, Jason Grout, Rachel Groeschen, Bethany Groeschen, and Adam Groeschen. She is also survived by her 11 great grandchildren: Mckenzie Baxter, Evan Brauch, Matt Koester, Maddy Brauch, Liam Crenshaw, Will Koester, Brooklyn Baker, Luke Brauch, Eddie Grout III, Ava Kordenbrock, and Elise Grout. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs, KY where she served on the Parish Council and the Worship Committee, as a Eucharistic Minister, and in many other ministries. She was editor of the Family Pride Newsletter for over 20 years, a member of the Christian Life Community of the Diocese of Covington, active in the Diocesan Cursillo Movement, and a Kentucky Colonel.
Her visitation will be held at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger on Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church in Edgewood, KY on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
