My grandma and my guiding light

Be brave, be wise and be kind.

Those words were the words my grandmother told me over 36 years ago when I joined the Air Force. Years later I found out she said the same thing to my grandfather.

Those words keep me humble.

So to all who see this,as grandma would say;

Be brave, be wise and be kind.

You’ve been the cornerstone of our family, a source of wisdom, love, and strength. Your 102 years on this earth were not just a testament to longevity but to a life lived with purpose and grace.

I remember the stories you shared, the lessons you taught, and the endless love you gave. From your kitchen, where you made the best meals served on the biggest picnic table I have ever seen, to your gentle words that always brought comfort, you shaped my world in ways words cannot fully capture.

You were more than a grandmother; you were my guiding light, my confidante, and my inspiration. Your resilience in the face of challenges and your unwavering faith have left an indelible mark on my soul. Your legacy lives on in every piece of advice I follow, every recipe I recreate, and every moment of kindness I extend to others.

Though you may no longer be physically here, your spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Your love will continue to guide us, your memories will bring us solace, and your life will be celebrated with each passing day.

Rest peacefully, Grandma. You’ve earned your place among the stars. Tell grandpa I said hi

I love you more

Grandma’s response to I love you was always “I love you more”. My response was “that’s impossible”. I will hold our memories in my heart forever. This world was blessed to have you for so long. It won’t be the same without you. See you when I get there, but not too soon I still have some coasters to ride 😉
Love always, Tina
