Marian L. Greenawalt

Marian Lash Greenawalt of Union, Kentucky, died on June 17, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care in Edgewood, Kentucky.  She was born April 1, 1928, in West Newton, Pennsylvania.  She was the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Nicholls Lash.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth Greenawalt.  They were the parents of Jana (Steve) Maxwell of Dunlap, Illinois, Scott (Julie) Greenawalt of Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Joan (Ken) Kenkel of Union, Kentucky. She is survived by seven grandchildren:  Sean (Danielle) Maxwell, Andrea (Mike) Burtnick, Christopher (Alaina) Greenawalt, Jonathan (Selena) Greenawalt, Jaqueline Greenawalt, Scott (Alissa) Kenkel, Sarah (Heekwan Kim) Kenkel and great-grandchildren Owen, Luke and Anna Maxwell, Max and Elizabeth Burtnick, and Daphne Kenkel.  A brother, Robert Lash, and sisters Norma Goff and Joan Bush preceded her in death. She is survived by brother Wayne Lash and sister Nancy Freiermuth.  Marian was a graduate of Penn State University and had a brief teaching career.  Most of all she enjoyed her role as mother and homemaker.  Interment of her ashes will be at Arlington National Cemetery
