Margie Retzler

Margaret “Margie” Retzler, 84, of Crescent Springs, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Ft. Thomas, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Retzler in 2008. She is survived by her step daughter, Elaine Parker (Jeff) of Madeira, OH, her brother, Ed Hering of Ft. Thomas, KY, a sister, Dorothy Wilson of Alexandria, KY, and many nieces and nephews. She taught for over 40 years in the schools of the Diocese of Covington, serving as principal at Villa Madonna Academy, Holy Cross Elementary, and Mary Queen of Heaven. Margie was an avid card player, especially bridge and euchre, enjoyed walking, golf, and had a great love for the symphony and opera. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Erlanger, KY. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 5:00 PM. She bequeathed her body to the University of Cincinnati Body Donation Program, where it will be transported to following her funeral mass.
