Tributes
Marcia A. Klaene (nee: Adick) 71, of Lakeside Park, KY, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. She was the consummate mother and grandma. She was a woman of great passion for others, and will be remembered by many for her endless energy and outreach. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church where she was a longtime member of the Wednesday morning bible study, a member of the bereavement committee, and a longtime supporter of the McKee Missions. She also was actively involved in the Interfaith Hospitality Network, volunteering both at Ft. Mitchell Baptist and Immanuel Methodist Church. She was an associate of the Notre Dame Sisters, a volunteer at the Notre Dame Urban Education Center, a volunteer at Redwood, a volunteer tutor at the Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home, a volunteer usher at the Carnegie Center, active in the diocesan Cursillo Movement, and was a recipient of the 2014 Women Making a Difference Award by the Sisters of Notre Dame. Marcia was preceded in death by her husband Ken Klaene and her grandson Benjamin Trimpe. She is survived by her daughter Laura Trimpe (Tom) of Erlanger, KY, son, Brian Klaene (Robin) of Crestview Hills, KY, son, Kevin Klaene (Karen) of Covington, KY, daughter, Karen Kleman (Chris) of Lakeside Park, KY, son, Matthew Klaene (Shannon) of Erlanger, KY, sister, Jan Johnannemann (Marc) of Alexandria, KY, and sister, Joan Strittholt (Barry) of Loveland, OH. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Spencer Trimpe, Alex Trimpe, Bree Klaene, Sammy Klaene, Leah Klaene, Noah Klaene, Josie Kleman, Georgia Kleman, Lucy Kleman, Fritz Kleman, and Amelia Klaene. Memorial donations are suggested to: The Notre Dame Urban Education Center, 14 East 8th Street, Covington, KY 41011 or Blessed Sacrament Church McKee Missions, 2409 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017. Visitation will be held at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger, KY, 30 Commonwealth Avenue, on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Church in Ft. Mitchell, KY. Entombment will follow at Mother of God Cemetery. A reception and celebration of her life will follow in the Blessed Sacrament Church undercroft.
