Luther “JR” Carpenter Matthews, Jr., age 51, died Thursday February 3rd, 2012 at his residence in Hebron. He was self-employed and a devoted and loving family man. Survivors include his wife Alice Matthews of Hebron; his son L.C. Matthews of Cincinnati, OH; 2 daughters Frances Matthews of Hebron and Christina Matthews of Hebron; 4 sisters Jenny Baker of Barboursville, KY, Nancy Wilson of Ft. Worth, TX, Doris (Robert) Short of Richmond, KY, and Wanda (James) Rowlett of Georgetown, KY; Grandfather of 5 grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday Feb.9th, 11am-2pm with the funeral service following immediately, at Linnemann Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Burlington. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell
