Linda Sonderman

Obituary
Condolences

Linda Sonderman, 75, of Edgewood, Kentucky, passed on August 3, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born on October 22, 1949, in Covington, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Bob and June Eckstine of Cold Spring.

Linda was a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan who always cheered on her team with pride. Known lovingly as “Yaya” to her granddaughters, she cherished her role as a grandmother above all else. She had a heart for animals, often feeding and tending to the wildlife that frequented her yard, and she found joy and peace in tending to her flowers and garden.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Harry Robert Sonderman Jr.; her sister, Sharon Howard; brothers-in-law, John Sonderman and Kerry Bollmer, and niece, Kelly Howard.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Dan)Mikalauskas; granddaughters, Stella and DaphneMikalauskas; sisters-in-law, Rosaire Bollmer and Kathy Sonderman; brother-in-law, Paul (Jodi) Sonderman; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, with a reception to follow at St. Pius X.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paws of Honor or Boys Town, causes close to Linda’s heart.

Prayers

Stephanie, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. I remember chatting over the fence and her love for Halloween. It was always pizza night if I remember correctly. I am sure she loves being with your dad again. My prayers are with you.

Condolences to Stephanie and family.

It was our pleasure to be neighbors of Linda and Harry for close to 40 years! Rest in peace.
