Libbee Marie Fooks

Libbee Marie Fooks, 88, of Florence, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. She was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joys in life were her family and friends.

Libbee was a cherished member of the First Baptist Church of Walton for over 20 years, where her faith brought joy to those around her. She was also a 59-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and belonged to Florence Star Chapter #559. She served as Grand Martha from 2009-2010, held the office of Worthy Matron numerous times and served on multiple Grand Chapter committees.

Libbee will be remembered for her kind spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lowell “Gene” Fooks (1991), sister, Margaret Russell and brothers, Willis Riedel and Leroy Stanley.

Libbee is survived by her loving daughter, Betty F. Gabbard (Jeff); sister, Frances Schaezlein (George); four cousins (Carol, Janet, Jim and Nancy), several nieces and nephews and their families, and an amazing group of cherished friends. Libbee enjoyed traveling, eating out and spending time with friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Linnemann Funeral Home, 30 Commonwealth Ave., Erlanger, KY, 41018. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
