Lawrence Olliges

COVINGTON- Lawrence “Larry” Olliges Jr, 77, passed away Thursday February 4th at Rosedale Green Nursing Home in Covington. He was a Vietnam Veteran, and retired at the rank of Commander after serving 35 years in the U.S. Navy. Larry held a Master’s Degree in Education and served on the Board of Directors at Indiana University, and was also a member of Phi Delta Kappa International- growing leaders in education. He is preceded in death by his brother David Olliges. Survivors include his son John Olliges of Virginia Beach, son Robert Olliges of Melbourne FL, daughter Barbie Arutt of Melbourne FL, brother Tom Olliges of Erlanger, sister Barbara Bond of Union, and brother Charles Olliges of Bellevue KY. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday February 10th from 5 to 8 at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger. Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 11th at 10am also at the funeral home. A reception will be held immediately follow the funeral services at The Linnemann Event Center 1940 Burlington Pike Burlington KY 41005.
