Laurna Jean Hubbard

Obituary
Condolences

Laurna Jean Hubbard (Lawrence), age 35, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, surrounded by the family who adored her. Born on July 16, 1990, in Edgewood, Kentucky, she grew into a woman whose kindness, gentleness, and unwavering empathy touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Laurna was the heartbeat of her family. A precious daughter, a devoted and faithful wife, a loving and supportive sister, and the most tender, patient mama to her children. She had a gift for making others feel seen and safe. Her quiet strength, soft spirit, and ability to love without judgment were her superpowers. She was everyone’s encourager, everyone’s cheerleader, the calm in every storm.

Laurna found joy in the simple things – Summer days in the garden, playing board games with her kids, sitting on her porch watching them play, and the peaceful comfort of home. Her presence brought warmth, gentleness, and ease everywhere she went.

Even in her most difficult days, Laurna remained thoughtful and tenderhearted. She stayed witty and playful, offering light and laughter even in the hardest times. She cared deeply about how everyone else was feeling, always putting others before herself, offering love even when she had very little strength left to give.

She leaves behind her beloved children, Wyatt, Reese, and Rylee; her husband, Kyle Hubbard; her devoted mother, Kristina Martin; her father, Jeff Lawrence; her sisters, Shena Lawrence and Chasta (Mike) Stiene; and her nieces and nephews who cherished her — Paisley, Paxton, Ivy, Brennen, Brooklyn, and Briella. She is also survived by a family full of people who will forever carry her love in their hearts.

Laurna is preceded in death by her grandparents, Gary Dunhoft, Barbara Lawrence, and Michael Lawrence, and so many other loved ones who have welcomed her home.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 10:30am to 1:30pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Burlington. Services will immediately follow at 1:30pm. Laurna will be laid to rest at Burlington Cemetery. The family invites everyone who loved Laurna to join them in honoring her memory. Laurna would like to pay the support shown to her by asking donations to be made to her Venmo @laurnas_fight to go a local family who is battling cancer.

Her absence leaves an ache that words cannot describe, but her love – gentle, forgiving, and pure heart will remain with all who knew her. To know Laurna was to be loved.
