Laura Joseph Walter, 83, of Edgewood, KY passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. She was born June 7, 1938 in Lexington, KY. She worked as a secretary at Northern Kentucky University for several years before retirement. Laura was a loving person with a kind spirit. She enjoyed singing, watching TV and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by parents: Wilford and Elizabeth Joseph, and her siblings: Georgia, Edward, and Amon Joseph. Laura is survived by her loving children: Karen Walter, John (Karen) Walter, and Mike Walter, her beloved grandchildren: Amber, Jamie, Amanda, Nicholas, Alexis and Justin Walter, and 1 great-grandchild. A visitation will be held for Laura on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 11 AM until 12 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home, 30 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, KY 41018. A service will be held immediately following at 12:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Laura will be laid to rest at 2:30 PM at Calvary Cemetery in Lexington, KY.

My condolences to Laura’s family and friends
Laura was a really nice, sweet lady. She never failed to wave or say hello when we’d encounter each other in the neighborhood where we lived. Sometimes we’d stop to chat and she was a very interesting, obviously intelligent person who always fascinated me and never failed to have me hanging onto her every word as she recounted a story or expressed an opinion. I didn’t know she loved to sing but I can imagine that would have been a delight. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family and friends who will surely miss her. I know that I will miss seeing her around.
