Always Kind, Always Positive, Always Smiled…..

In the many years I worked with Dr. Lavender at WCGH, at the Women and Infant’s Health Care Unit, he never hesitated to smile, offer kind works to staff and patients, and think positively about every situation we were in. We missed you when you left us, Dr. Lavender, and will miss you even more knowing you won’t pop in some day to say “hello…”at least not on this plain….Peace be with your family….Debra Porter, RN

GREAT FRIEND

Dr. Michael Lavender was the most inspirational friend I ever knew. It was so appropriate that Mike brought hundreds of lives into the world, an even more remarkable that he brought life into my world when I met him at the age of 25, which was 48 years ago. He was the best. He is with God and we have beautiful memories of a wonderful man. Deepest Sympathy to you Leslie. Love, Tom Kordenbrock

Condolences from the Preston Family

I remember when we moved in 1986 to Northern KY, I needed to find an obstetrician as I was 8 months pregnant with our third child. Not knowing anyone, I asked the nursing staff at St, E if they had any recommendations. Dr. Lavender’s name was at the top of the list. He had just started his practice and agreed to take me as a patient and our son Greg, was his “first official” delivery. My husband, Steve, discovered during my labor that Mike was a huge Ohio State football fan. Both of them bonded through their love of football and Mike was recruited to help coach the youth NKY team. We became friends and enjoyed dining together and sharing wine. We were introduced to Leslie and and the friendship continued to grow. I know In my heart that Mike felt blessed to have such a special lady in his life. They were meant to be together. Mike loved life and was such a kind man. My condolences and continued prayers to Leslie and family.

St Luke Physicians for Woman family

Dr. Lavender was an absolute joy to work with. I’ll never forget the years working in clinic with him. The contagious smile, the laughter, the hallway Tai Kwan doe, the shenanigans. Yet the care for his patients and surgical skill set him apart. He was well loved by all and will never be forgotten. You will always be in the hearts of every patient, medical assistant, front office assistant, manager, hospital nurses and staff not to mention your physician colleagues. Fly high with the angels dear Dr. Lavender. You’re memory will live on in all who knew you!!!!

My sympathies to the family

Dr Lavender delivered my last child in 1994 and then I worked with him at St Luke’s. Liked him very much and his patients did too! He will be missed! My thoughts and prayers to all of you.
