Kimia Hashemi Assassi (nee Toluie), 82, entered eternal life on Sunday February 02, 2020 at Carmel Manor, Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. Kimia was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was a devout member of the Baha’i Faith, a woman of deep faith in God and of prayer; an advocate of social justice and an avid reader. In her professional life, Kimia was an educator. She taught elementary school in Tehran, Iran for 21 years until her retirement. Kimia is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Amir Houshang Hashemi Assassi; son, Siamak Hashemi-Asasi; daughter, Sepideh (Joseph) Baker; sister-in-law, Shahin Toluie; grandchildren, Yasamin and Jacklyn Vieth; Sofia, Giulianna and Cyrus Hashemi-Asasi and sister Giti Ara Zarei. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Rahmatullah and Jamileh Toluie; sister Keyhan; brothers Kyoumars and Koroush Toluie; sister-in-law Gloria Assassi Fathi and brother-in-law Mahmood Zarei. As Kimia always looked for the significance of numbers appearing in religious writings, her passing at 2:02 a.m. on 02/02/2020 was noticed with a smile by her loved ones. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Linnemann Funeral Home, 30 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, KY 41018. Burial will take place immediately following at St. John Cemetery, St. Johns Road Fort Mitchell, KY.
