Kevin Lee Turner
Kevin Lee Turner, of Independence Kentucky, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, February 25th, 2024. Kevin, a beloved brother, son, uncle, father, and friend was a lifelong resident of Kentucky. He is survived by his parents Gareth Turner and Ruth J. Turner, two children Amanda Turner and Marcus Turner, five brothers; Hank Turner, Michael Turner, Paul Turner, Steve Maisch, Keith Turner, four sisters; Kim Booth (nee Turner), Patty Elder (nee Turner), Pamela Valz (nee Maisch), Tasha Turner-Bicknell, 29 nieces and nephews and countless great nieces and nephews.
While Kevin’s time on earth may feel short to friends and family, Kevin held an unwavering faith in God and everlasting spiritual life. Kevin will join brother Garry Turner and sister Terry Lynn Shouse (nee Turner) in eternity.
Kevin, born in Fort Thomas Kentucky in 1964, graduated from Simon Kenton High School in 1982. He enjoyed playing saxophone in the band as well as high school jazz ensembles. He went on to graduate from Cincinnati Bible College and have an active youth in Christian ministry. Throughout Kevin’s adult life he loved to work, and he loved cars. His never-ending knowledge and enthusiasm for cars led him to a successful career in automotive sales with Beechmont Volkswagen, where he was a beloved team member.
He will be remembered fondly by family and friends as a loving person who never lost his youthful appreciation for the joys of life. Kevin loved sports, especially the Bengals, University of Kentucky basketball, and Formula 1 racing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, seeing movies, going to concerts, vacationing in Florida, and celebrating the holidays. In recent years he enjoyed going to church, traveling, hiking, and experiencing the many iterations of the Star Wars universe.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 12:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home, 30 Commonwealth Ave., Erlanger, KY 41018. Burial will immediately follow at Independence Cemetery.
