Obituary
Condolences

Kenneth W. Spivey “Peep”, Age 81, of Burlington, KY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Ken was a salesman for metal finishing and engineering at DeLong Inc, where he retired at 71.

A true athlete, Ken was inducted into the Bellevue High School Hall of Fame in 2015 for his outstanding achievements in football and track. He was also a dedicated coach with Raiders Youth Football, where he guided and mentored young athletes.

Outside of work and coaching, Ken enjoyed a rich life filled with family and hobbies. He loved golf, horse racing, and never missed a chance to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events. Family was always his top priority, and he cherished every moment spent with them. One of his favorite traditions was traveling to Siesta Key every year, creating lifelong memories with those he loved.

Ken was an avid sports fan. He was a loyal follower of the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, the University of Kentucky Wildcats, and Covington Catholic High School. His passion for these teams was matched only by his love for his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Elmer and Beulah Spivey.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Barb Spivey (nee Lynagh); children, Kristy (Alan) Kabakoff and Scott (Teena) Spivey; 6 grandkids; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Jerry Spivey; sister, Vonda Thoma; Bridget Mills and family, Donna Feldmann and family; as well as many nieces and nephews.
