VILLA HILLS- Kenneth Paul Kocan, 36, of Villa Hills passed away unexpectedly while vacationing in Sorrento, Italy on September 1st, 2013 as the result of an accidental fall. Born April 12th, 1977 in Kenmore, NY to parents John and Helen Kocan, he graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1999 and the Culinary Institute of America in 2002. Ken was an entrepreneur who worked as a real estate agent for Huff Realty. He was also a proud owner of the popular Ft. Mitchell yogurt shop Kocanut Joe’s. Ken enjoyed working hard and living life to its fullest. He had a passion for entertaining friends and family with good food and great company. He was an avid traveler and had a talent for landscaping and interior renovations. Ken leaves behind his best friend and loving life and business partner Joey Zembrodt; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Steve Aquilino; sister-in-law, Carissa Kocan; brother and sister-in-law Klaude and Lori; and brother, Kristofor. Ken also leaves behind 3 nieces, Jennifer Aquilino, Lauren and Katie Kocan and 1 great niece, Macy Adams; 3 nephews, Bryan Bauer, Cameron and Jonah Kocan and 1 great nephew, Karson. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Helen Kocan and oldest brother Keith. A memorial service will be held at Mother of God Church in Covington Friday September 13th at 5pm and church service following at 7pm.
