Kathy Marsh

Obituary
Condolences

Kathy Marsh, age 63, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, in the presence of her devoted husband and surrounded by her loving care team at Gallatin Nursing and Rehab.

Kathy was born on July 8, 1962, to the late Marion and Jozie (née Allen) Phelps. She carried a light that drew people to her—one that never dimmed, even through her bravely fought battle with brain cancer. Strong, gracious, and endlessly kind, Kathy never complained and always put others before herself.

A proud graduate of Boone County High School, Class of 1980, Kathy was a brilliant and dedicated student. She went on to study Accounting at the University of Cincinnati. She was truly a friend to everyone — someone who naturally mentored, encouraged, and uplifted others.

Kathy loved holidays and was especially known for her creativity and joy in making homemade Halloween costumes. She and her husband, Danny won the “best costume” award on multiple occasions at their yearly neighborhood Halloween party. She made every person feel special, seen, and loved. She was a presence—warm, steady, and genuine. A sweetheart in every sense of the word, Kathy never could say no and was often heard affectionately saying, “I love you, baby.”

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Condini, and her brother-in-law, Mike Hubbard.

She is survived by her loving and caring husband, Danny Marsh, just two weeks shy of celebrating their 42nd wedding anniversary; her sons, Taylor Marsh (Charlene Powers) and Tanner Marsh; her cherished granddaughter; her sister, Linda Hubbard; and several adored nieces and nephews, who lovingly knew her as “Sissy.”

A visitation for Kathy will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, Kentucky, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM, led by LD Campbell of First Church of Christ.

Those attending are encouraged to wear purple in honor of Kathy—her strength, her spirit, and the beautiful life she lived.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Kathy’s honor.
