Kathy Huff

Obituary
Condolences

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Kathy Huff, age 50, of Union, Kentucky, who went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2025. Born on December 1, 1974, in Florence, Kentucky, Kathy’s life was a testament to her faith. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Kathy was a devoted occupational therapist, but her greatest calling was her relationship with God. A true woman of faith, she was an active and passionate member of 7 Hills Church in Florence, where she joyfully volunteered, worshiped, and shared her love for Jesus with everyone she met.

To know Kathy was to be loved by her. Many were blessed to call her their “best friend,” a title she embraced with pride. She was a loving wife, an incredible mother, a cherished sister, and a treasured friend.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Candy VanArdsdale;  her sister, Karen Boutwell, and her nephew, Brandon Boutwell.

She is survived by her husband and best friend, Rick Huff; her children, Aiden (Elsa) Huff, Collin (Ana Lu) Huff, and Avery Huff; her siblings, Amy (Chris) Storer and Sandy (Terry) Gober; her nieces and nephews, Autumn (Cody) Comb, Carley (Dylan) Storer, Rachael (Logan) Ross, Andrew (Leah) Storer, Taylor (Matt) Ober, Megan Huff, Caleb Huff, Eli Huff, and Anabelle Huff; her in-laws, Leon and Lorna Huff, Mike (Dawn) Huff, Ed (Becky) Huff, and Taylor (Matt) Ober, and many dear friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 7 Hills Church in Florence. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. A private graveside service for family will follow at Burlington Cemetery.

Though she is gone too soon, Kathy’s light, love, and legacy of faith will continue to shine in the countless lives she touched. We rejoice in knowing she is now worshiping in Heaven, just as she always longed to do.

Kathy was passionate about kids and introducing them to a loving God. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to these organizations that the Huff’s actively support.

My sweet friend

Kathy, I love you am thankful for the many years we have known each other. Thank you for the many laughs we shared through college. Thank you for being an amazing woman who loves Jesus. Rick I am so sorry for the loss of your best friend. So many years of love you were able to share. To Kathy and Rick’s children, I am sorry you lost your mom so young. She was loved by so many. She is a legacy for your children. Kathy I hope the home coming in heaven was amazing. I am sure Jesus wrapped you in his arms. I hope it is good seeing your parents and sis again. Love you always, see you again. –ack

Missing Sweet Kathy

Kathy’s heart was to point us all toward Jesus.

“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:6

FOREVER with Jesus! Kathy beat us to heaven. It helps to remember our lives are just a vapor when viewed from an eternal perspective. She is where we all want to be.

Lord, be with all of Kathy’s people who miss her so much. Help us to cling to Your promises and get through these days. Amen
