Kathleen Powers Brady, 79 of Walton, KY passed away peacefully in her home on November 17, 2024.

Kathleen was born March 23, 1945 in Medford, MA as one of 6 children of Edward and Mary Powers. She grew up walking around Boston, with a legendary story of flipping a boy over her shoulder who dared to try and kiss her. She moved out to Kentucky at the age of 20 where she embarked on a career with Delta Airlines, traveling the world with friends. At the age of 26 she was introduced to a young Air Force veteran by the name of Patrick Edward Brady, and they married in 1973 before beginning their lives together in Aurora, Indiana.

From there Kathleen and Pat raised two boys, Patrick Edward Jr. (born 1974) and Sean Patrick (born 1976), and Kathleen committed her life to staying home and raising her children. Life brought the family to Northern Kentucky in 1984, where Kathleen spent the remainder of her time. A well-known story in the family is from the early 80’s ,when Kathleen was caring for Patrick as he recovered from a broken leg, and she became a mean Asteroids player on the Atari 2600.

Kathleen and Pat moved to Union in 2016 and subsequently to Walton in 2024, where they are visited frequently by their sons and grandson, Sean Patrick Jr. (born 2005). Kathleen was well-known for a mischievous sense of humor and delighted in laughing with family and friends. She and Pat continued traveling the world together, including trips all over the US and extensive time in Florida. She loved reading, movies, and in her later years always had her iPad by her side as she stayed in close contact with family and friends.

Kathleen is survived by Pat, her husband of 51 years; her two boys, Patrick Jr. and Sean; her grandson Sean Jr; her two brothers (Edward and Richard) and two sisters (Maryellen and Ruth); and countless
nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately by the family. Kathleen will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown. Online condolences can be left at www.LinnemannFuneralHomes.com

I am sorry for your loss. Aunt Kathleen will be sorely missed. She leaves us all with so many good memories. I loved her visits at Burton Street when she would go to the Joslin and all the laughs during our Vegas trip.
