Joyce Bowman

Joyce Bowman, 77, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Burlington, KY passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023 with her loved ones by her side. She was born June 3, 1946 in Cincinnati, OH. When she moved to Northern Kentucky, her and her late husband were active members in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

Joyce was a very outgoing person and she loved to be around people. She never wanted to be the center of attention, but she definitely wanted to be part of the mix. She worked retail throughout most of her life, and she loved her customers. Even when she didn’t need to work anymore, she continued to just to be with the people. Joyce also enjoyed reading, watching Nascar, and traveling. Some of her favorite trips were to Talladega, Hawaii and Alaska. Throughout her life she had seen and accomplished many things, but her greatest thing was her family. Joyce was a proud mother, grandma and great-grammy. Her kids and grandchildren were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Stanley and Mary Juergens, her sister, Sylvia Gardner, her husband, Delbert Bowman, and her first husband and father of her children, James R. Malone II. Joyce is survived by her loving children: Lisa Trenkamp (Todd Hollandsworth), Brian Malone (Lori), and Tiffany King, her beloved grandchildren: Korey, Lauren, Devin, Robert, Paige, Drew, Allen, Jacob and Bradley, her dear brother, Stanley Juergens (Kathy), and her cherished great-grandchildren: Olivia and Niko.

A visitation will be held for Joyce on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. A Catholic Blessing will be held immediately following at 5:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Joyce will be laid to rest in private at St. Joe Cemetery (New) in Cincinnati, OH.
