Joyce Ann Stieby

Joyce Ann Stieby, 85, sadly passed away at her home in Florence, KY on April 10, 2024.

Joyce was born at the Todd House on January 3, 1939, in Ida May, KY. She was one of five children born to Winfred and Beatrice Tirey. She spent some of her childhood in Beattyville, KY then later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio graduating from Central Vocational High School in 1956. The family then finally settled in Northern KY. It was there that she met the love of her life, David Stieby, and married him in 1967. They soon welcomed a son, Mark Allen, into their lives in 1970. Joyce also loved being a grandmother to Mackenzie who they welcomed into their family in 2003. Joyce will be sweetly remembered by the defining character within her name, Joy. Always loving, laughing and sharing a positive attitude regardless of what life threw her way. Her greatest joy was making people laugh. She is predeceased by her husband David, son Mark, her brother, James Danny Tirey, and sister, Betty Middendorf. She is survived by two sisters, Sandra Dinser and Debbie (Mike) Tillman, two nieces Lori (Tim) Schlarman, Theresa (Richard) Browning, one nephew Steve (Misty) Dinser, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until Noon with service following at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, KY. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, KY
