Love is Together Again

My husband Howard worked with Carl in Security at the Mall, through him, I first met Carl & Joy at a “Happy Hour” dinner. They were quite a couple, so cute together, complementing each other in every way. Carl liked to tell me how the Reds were doing or what movie was good. Joy and I connected over many things. She and I could talk about anything, there was almost an instant “sisterhood” with Joy and when she lost Carl, I certainly sensed the pain she felt. They were just getting to enjoy retirement with trips to Tennessee and drives to Warsaw. I tried to help Joy out as much as I could and sometimes that simply meant to be there to listen. I think getting to re-connect with her cousin Carol seemed to help Joy too. We shared many fun times together and I will Miss Joy & Carl. They were ALWAYS Good to me. There are times in life when you meet people who affect you in ways you don’t understand at the moment but later you realize they were placed in your path on purpose.
We shared a Friendship that means very much to me. I am Grateful to have met and known Joy
& Carl and I know they are Happy to be Together Again.
My sincere Condolences to All the Family, Jill & Howard Lee

Small but very powerful and generous

Joy and I met the first time in 1952. We are first cousins. Her dad, Eldon, my dad Floyd and another brother Robert were born and raised in Union Kentucky. Joy and I had stayed in touch for the next 73 years! First by “snail mail” then by email and finally by text and telephone. We had visited one another on different vacations over the years. Joy had asked us to move here many times. My husband passed away and a year later, Carl passed. In September of 2023 I called and told her I was ready to move. What I was amazed me was how much we actually had in common! Sometimes it seemed like we were one brain in two different bodies! I am the most grateful to her for bringing me back to Jesus. I was baptized on Easter Sunday just a couple of weeks before her passing. We both knew that God had sent me here. Joy wasn’t just my cousin; she was my best friend. I know she is where she had longed to be and that someday I can join her and the rest of our clan. I will miss her terribly until that day comes.
