Always a great guy!

I went to high school with Josh and then saw him frequently many years ago when I shopped where he worked. He was always polite and kind in high school which was a time when many weren’t…. I always knew he was one of the good guys When! When I frequented a store where he worked with 2 little ones on my hip- he always stopped what he was doing to say hello, tell me how much the girls looked like me, and just catch up on life. We lost touch after this, but I’ll always remember him fondly. Such sadness to know the world lost one of the good ones, but I know he will be watching over his family and I hope that you all can remember his beaming smile every time you see a beautiful ray of sunshine poking through the clouds…. Rest easy now, Josh <3

Kathy Fowler, Transportation Aide, Boone Cty School District

I’m a transportation aide for the Boone Cty School
district! I was blessed that Josh was my bus driver for 1 month! In that month I knew how much he loved his wife Amy & his children! He was hoping he was doing a great job at being a father!❤️ I knew where he bought Amy flowers! I knew his kids like & dislikes! I knew how much he loved Randy & Kathy! I knew how much he loved the kids of the Boone Cty School District! And where the best farmers markets were! In just 1 month I met someone that was young enough to be my son but left a lasting expression of love & compassion & YES his smile, that I will carry with me the rest of my life! RIP my sweet sweet Josh! You are forever in our hearts!❤️

Always Smiling

I went to high school with Josh. He was always smiling, nice to EVERYONE, and the friend you could count on. So sad to hear he’s gone. Sending thoughts to his family at this time.

Sorry for your loss

Josh was a great guy, who I really enjoyed and appreciated his positive attitude. His smile was up-lifting. He will sorely be missed here at the Boone County Transportation Department.
