Fond Memories

The Fremont Historical Society in Seattle had the honor to meet Jay and Betty in 2015 when Jay shared with us his experience with the 50th General Hospital. He also told us that he had been able to film the 50th when they served in France. We are very grateful that he and Betty came back to the Fremont Branch Library at a later date to show the film and provide commentary to a larger group. Jay and Betty were gracious in making it possible for later generations to learn about World War II from someone who was there.

With sympathy,

Judie Clarridge

Betty Sullivan

Dear Betty,
I’m thinking of you and all the good times we had in Seattle. My friend John Truman, WW II Navy Vet, enjoyed meeting Jay. We miss you in Seattle and at the League of Women Voters meetings.
Sending sympathy and love to you and your daughter,
Laura Weese
