John Rich

Harold “John” Rich, 71, of Florence, KY, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Drake Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  John was a pipe fitter and welder for Local 392. He also was a US Army Veteran, enjoyed dirt track racing, loved dogs especially his goldendoodle Barrett, and was always looking for ways to help others. He would do anything to help anybody out and dropped everything to be there for those he loved. However, most important to John was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who he loved dearly.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Sue Rich, and his siblings, Stanley Rich and Judy Rich.

He leaves his loving wife of 43 years, Teri Rich (nee New); his children, Brandon (Brooklynn) Rich and Ashley (Matt) Titus; and his siblings who called him “Shonny”, Carolyn “Kitty” Downey, David Rich, Melody (Rick) Anderson, and Ida Karen Lugo; his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

John also leaves behind his 7 grandchildren that he adored and who affectionately called him Pop Pop, Maddox, Branson, Bryson, Maverick, Ella, Vera, and Sage.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 11AM-1PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Burlington, KY. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 1PM at the funeral home. He will be buried in St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY. The family requests that those who wish to attend wear bright colors or their favorite racing gear in John’s memory.
