John Ramler
John Robert Ramler, 56, died on Thursday, April 5th, 2012 at his residence in Elsmere. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a Maker’s Mark Ambassador, and worked at the Gates Corporation for over 35 years. John was an avid hunter and enjoyed deer hunting season with his cousin Don Brosey and nephew-in-law Jeff Hill. John also loved summer, boating, spending time at his River Camp, but most of all, he enjoyed drinking beer with his best friend Al Newman. Although John had no brothers, he had a brother in Mike Gausepohl. He was preceded in death by father, Clarence Ramler. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Jan Ramler (Rauch) of Elsmere; his mother, Margaret Ramler of Elsmere; his sisters, Sandra (Gary) Sandel of Elsmere, Carla Burkart of Florence, and Kerri Carter of Elsmere; his nieces, Angela Combs, Jennifer Holtman, Alicia Eads, Stephanie Burch, Kelsey Carter, Kellee Carter, Lori Hill, and Krista Guinn. He also leaves behind 7 great-nieces and 4 great-nephews. Visitation will be on Tuesday April 10th, from 4—8PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes Erlanger. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday April 11th at 10AM at Linnemann Funeral Homes Erlanger. Entombment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Erlanger, KY. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Elizabeth Home Hospice 483 South Loop Rd. Edgewood, KY 41017.
