John McCarthy

John William McCarthy, age 72, of Florence, Kentucky passed away on March 7, 2022. John was born to the late John and Florence McCarthy on August 8, 1949 in Covington, Kentucky. John served his country in the Navy and was a warehouse worker for Shillito Warehouse for many years. John had many nicknames, among them were, “Slim” and “Mac Daddy”. He had an abundance of close friends. He enjoyed his weekly lunches with his sister, Trish every Wednesday. 

John is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Raymond McCarthy, and his nephew, Jeffrey Micahel Meyer.

He is survived by his sister, Patricia “Trish” (Daniel) Meyer, cousins; Rosie Highland, Dee Prather, Roscoe McCarthy, Tommy McCarthy, his sister-in-law, Mary McCarthy, his great niece, Madison Meyer, his girlfriend, Mary Ann Tidwell, dear friends; Bub, Denny, and Terry, and many other close family and friends. 

A visitation will be held for John on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM with a service immediately following at 1:00PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, Kentucky. 

John will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
