John “Jack” M. Seifert
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Kathy, his brother Joe (Pam) Seifert, and four children: Terry (Pam) Seifert, Tracy (Mike) Zumbiel, Wendy Seifert, and Molly (Josh) Seifert. In addition, he has five grandchildren, Garrett (Raquel) Seifert, Ashton Seifert, Morgan Zumbiel, Quinn Zumbiel, and Louis Schlosser, as well as three great-grandchildren: Luke, Hayden, and Beckam Seifert.
Jack grew up in northern Kentucky, graduating from Beechwood High School in 1959 and then Thomas More University shortly thereafter. He also served in the Army Reserves during that time. Jack lived an active life filled with family, friends, laughter, and many outdoor activities. He was a prolific athlete who played basketball, football, softball, racquetball, golf, and tennis. He also loved boating and enjoyed trips to Lake Cumberland with his family. Jack taught his children and grandchildren how to waterski and had a great deal of patience as a ski instructor. Jack was a member of Eagle Creek Country Club where he could be seen swimming in the summer, playing poker and countless rounds of golf with his buddies, or playing a few holes with one of his grandchildren in the evening. In addition to playing sports, Jack and Kathy loved watching college basketball together, especially their beloved Xavier Musketeers and Kentucky Wildcats.
Jack spent his career in industrial sales. Later in life, he took great pride in operating his own business and often hand-delivered to his customers because he loved providing service. Customers, friends, and family members all loved him dearly for many reasons, but one of those was his great sense of humor. He was known as a jokester, laughed easily, and made people feel at ease in his presence.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington KY, 41005. Visitation 10:30 – 12:00, Service 12-12:30, Reception 12:30 – 2:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Erlanger Lions Sight Fund, P.O. Box 18486, Erlanger, KY, 41018, or CARE Closet, 30 Homestead Place, Ft. Thomas, KY 41075. The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice Care of St. Elizabeth for their loving care of Jack in his final days.

Cub Scout friend and neighbor
I have wonderful childhood memories of Jack growing up together in Park Hills. There was a triangle of streets (Arlington, Aberdeen and Old State roads that was our playground in the late 40’s and 50’s.
I remember his dad taking our Cub Scout Den to a Reds game against the Boston Braves at Crowley field with seats on the first or second row behind 3rd base side. In those days we all played outside from morning to night.
The positive about learning of the death of an old friends is the chance to remember the good times.

Deepest Sympathies
Mr Seifert coached me in basketball when I was small> His son terry and I grew up together playing baseball, basketball, and tennis. Later on in life I was fortunate to sell Jack a solitaire for his wife for an anniversary. He was one of the coolest coaches I ever had and he made basketball fun. To his family and friends I will keep you in my prayers.

Dear Kathy & Family,
I offer you my deepest sympathy and prayers. I have known Jack since our grade school days at Blessed Sacrament and many hours of basketball at BSS or maybe Barry Adelmeyer’s house on Pleasant Ridge. A great guy who always had a smile and a good word for everyone.
May you be consoled with the faith that Jack is in the arms of our awesome God and will always be with you. (I will miss service, out of town)
