John Gompper

John William Gompper, 70, of Burlington, KY, passed away on Feb. 22, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood surrounded by his loving family and friends. Mr. Gompper proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and graduated from Xavier University with his Masters. He was a retired engineer with Cincinnati Bell and analyst with Comair and was a active member of the Florence Lions Club. Mr. Gompper formed the Boone County Youth Soccer in 1997 and acted as president for 6 years, formed the Northern Kentucky Soccer League in 1977 and acted as first Treasurer and formed the Kentucky Youth Soccer in 1977 and served as President for 6 years. He is survived by his wife, Emily Sue Price Gompper of Burlington, KY and their two children, Amber Gompper of Richmond, KY and John Gompper III of Burlington, KY. He also leaves behind his brothers, Michael and Bill both of CT and grandchildren, Michael and Madison. Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 form 12pm to 2pm at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with memorial services to follow at 2pm at the church.
