Tributes
John H. Binzer, 77, of Erlanger, passed away on Saturday, April 12th, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. He was an Inventory Control Manager for Square D and later, became a founding member of Housing Opportunities of Northern Kentucky (H.O.N.K.). He also was a former member of St. Henry Catholic Church and a member of Mother of God Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Carole Fuglie Binzer; his brothers, Louis, Clarence, Robert and Ralph Binzer; and his sisters, Martha Patterson and Dorothy Brunemann. Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Portwood of Florence, Sue Simms of Independence, and Betsy Emerson of Burlington; and his sons, Mark Binzer of Erlanger, and Timothy Binzer of White Bear Lake, MN. He also leaves behind his 7 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be on Wednesday April 23rd, 2014 from 9:30AM-12:00PM at Mother of God Catholic Church in Covington. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 12:00PM at the church. Burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.
