Joan M. Mitchell

Joan M. Mitchell, age 71, of Dry Ridge, passed away on November 12, 2024.

Joan was known for her kindness, generosity, and nurturing spirit. She was a talented medical technologist, retiring from St. Elizabeth Medical Center after a fulfilling career. In her retirement, Joan enjoyed making blankets and scarves for children in need, a testament to her caring nature.

A lifelong animal lover, Joan had a special place in her heart for dogs. She also loved nature and farm life, finding peace in tending to her flowerbeds and riding horses. Joan was a dedicated member of the First Church, where she formed lasting friendships and was active in the community. She also was known for baking her numerous Christmas cookies with whom she loved to bake with her grandkids.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene E. and Mary Kathryn Mingus; her son, Jimmy Mitchell; and her sister, Geri Ruoff. She is survived by her husband, Larry Mitchell; her daughter, Katie (Stuart) Ramsey; her grandchildren, Lily, Jacob, Lila, and Justin; her sisters Cathy (Mike) Mucenski, M.D. and Terry (Scott) Newton; as well as 7 nieces and nephews, and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Erlanger. Services will be held at First Church of Christ on Wednesday on November 20^th at 11am.
