Joan Carey

Joan Carol Carey, 82, of Florence, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at her home in Florence. She was born September 3, 1941 in Covington, KY to the late Arnold and Dorothy Easton.

Joan cherished her family, and she enjoyed spending time with them. Some of her favorite times were during the holidays, when she would get everyone together. Her favorite was Christmas; she loved filling stockings for the grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, especially the trips to the beach. Joan was a very active member at Florence Christian Church, and she really loved her church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carey, and her grandson: Trey Driskell. Joan is survived by her loving children: Jeanna Wilson (Jeff), and Jack Driskell, her beloved grandchildren: Christopher Schwers and Skyler Schwers, her cherished 11 great-grandchildren, her dear sisters: Janet Anderson (Ronald), Linda Berkemeier (Tony), and Kathy Caminiti (Joe), and several other loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held for Joan on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 10:30am until 11:30am at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. A service will be held immediately following the visitation at 11:30am at the Funeral Home. Following the service, Joan will be laid to rest with her late husband, Robert at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
