Jo Anna Bennett

Jo Anna Bennett, 79, of Taylor Mill Kentucky passed away Tuesday March 30, 2021. She was born December 26, 1941 at the Booth Hospital in Covington Kentucky to the late William and Anna May Eger. Jo Anna spent her early working years as a devoted teacher loved by her students. She was passionate about the success of her students at Twenhofel Middle School and Piner Elementary School. She volunteered at the school and community sports events, and Girl Scouts. She coached cheerleading. She tutored many students over the years. Her later working years she was a successful senior financial planner at Fidelity Investments. She was beloved by many of her colleagues. She attended church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and doing puzzles. JoAnna was a selfless person who gave help and care for everyone she encountered throughout her entire life. Enjoying time with family gathered together brought her true joy. She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with her most treasured days spent around her family.  Her sister Carolyn Eger preceded her in death. Jo Anna is survived by her loving children: Maria Bennett, John (Autumn) Bennett, and Jan (James) Steinfeld, her beloved grandchildren: Ronnie (Krystal) Bennett, Danielle Evick, Melodie Evick, Josh Mcentee, Jacob Bennett, Savannah Bennett, Crystal (Phillip) Gray, Josh (Leah) Bennett, Tayler Burns, Logan Bennett, Gage Dieman, Gabriel Dieman, Kaitlynn Steinfeld, Alexis (Randy) Cox, Destiney Steinfeld, her dear brothers: William (Gale) Eger, Thomas (Dotty) Eger, Jeff (Ruth) Eger, and Todd (Marina) Eger, and 22 cherished great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held for Jo Anna on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 3pm until 7pm at Pride Park Community Center, 5614 Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
