Jeffery Robert “Jeff” Covode
Jeffery Robert (Jeff) Covode, age 52, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away on June 12, 2024. Jeff was born to Bob and Trish Covode on November 7, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Along with his parents, Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Corrie, his stepson, Isaiah, and his foster son, J. D. Jeff is also survived by his brother Andy Covode and wife Caroline, his sister Erin Gajewski, and husband Tony, his many in-laws, and the nieces and nephews who dearly loved their Uncle Jeff.
Covode (as he was affectionately known) loved sports, both playing and spectating. Rounds of golf were always memorable, and catching a game with him was never short of exciting. Covode was a staunch supporter of his teams. Pioneer pride ran deep, and he was easily Kentucky’s biggest Morehead State Eagles fan. He also displayed great grilling skills by leading the Tailgate Posse before the Cooper Jaguars football games. Covode loved music, but heavy metal held a special place on his playlists. He never had an inhibition when there was a karaoke mic in sight. Volume control on his voice was typically an issue and very rarely dipped below the max level.
Covode sent memes to everyone on their birthday (i.e. Ric Flair). He always turned the tab when he popped the top on a cool beverage, and he had a full arsenal of corny dad jokes. Covode could fix anything and enjoyed working on projects around his house. He was a bird watcher, and he especially loved the hummingbirds that gathered around his deck. Covode always showed concern, was willing to lend a helping hand, and would drop anything to support someone in need. He cared about everyone, and the love for him was reciprocated by an army of friends and family. There will only be one Coffee Claus.
Jeff graduated from Greenhills High School and Morehead State University. He was a National Sales Account Representative with Wallingford Coffee, a position he held for over 15 years, and he was a council member for the City of Greenhills.
A Celebration of Jeff’s Life will be held on Tuesday, June 25 at 10 a.m. at Seven Hills Church, 6800 Hazel Ct., Florence, Kentucky. Those who would like to honor Jeff with a memorial gift are asked to contribute to https://foundvillage.app.neoncrm.com/forms/donate
