I never met Jared but was closely following his challenge and as a person who battled weight my entire life I could relate with the struggle and successes. Jared inspired me! I have been a fan of Kentucky sports for only the last 5 years. In that short time, I have come to think of BBN as family & the family lost a good one in Jared – way too soon.

My thought and prayers are with family and friends. My sweet husband passed, he was a graduate of UK and an avid Wildcat football fan. Jared was his favorite quarterback. He loved his sweet and funny personality. So Jared came into our lives after all the hoopla of being Jared was a thing. If you don’t know anything know this … he was a really good human! We loved having him be a part of our family and our lives and can’t even imagine what the loss feels like to his family. In middle school, I met him briefly as a young man. He was quiet at first, then his charisma shined speaking about football. Based on the brief time interacting with him, I knew he would excel. His college games were amazing. It was great to see him achieve personal and professional goals. My prayers are with his family and children. God Bless.
