Janet Ruth Wood

Janet Ruth Wood, 85, born in Crescent City, CA. passed away Thursday December 13, 2024 at an assisted Living in Florence, KY. She was a graduate of the University of Oregon in 1961 and has lived in Kentucky since 1969.  She’s had several occupations including a secretary, medical librarian, social worker for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, tax accountant and was qualified by the IRS as an enrolled agent. She has been a member of Mensa since 1975. Janet was an avid reader who was also a cultured patron of the Arts, and enjoyed traveling the U.S. and Europe. Preceded in death by her brother George L. Wood and sister Roberta Wood Coulson. Survivors include her son Thomas Pratt, daughter Susan (Michael) Pratt Taylor. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Prospect Point Clubhouse 2904 River Cliff Rd, Villa Hills, KY 41017 January 18, 2025 at 2pm.
