James Kelly

James E. Kelly, 85, of Ft. Mitchell, KY, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, an extensive world traveler, a retired Lt. Colonel with the United States Army, a WWII and Korean War Veteran, and a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, Leavenworth, KS. He was an advisor to the Iranian Government for the U.S. Army. He also was a Real Estate Broker for 26 years with Sallee Realty and Coldwell Banker. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Mary Kelly, of Ft. Mitchell, KY, his children: Linda Karaus (Gregory) of Aspen, CO, Cynthia Vigil (Gary) of San Francisco, CA, Robert Kelly (Terri) of Union, KY, Thomas Kelly (Melissa) of Florence, KY, two brothers, Joseph Kelly (Connie) of Logandale NV, Patrick Kelly (Betty) of Vinton, VA, and seven grandchildren: Megan Karaus, Brian Kelly, Madison Kelly, Morgan Kelly, Malia Kelly, Michael Vigil, and Jonathan Vigil. Visitation will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church in Ft. Mitchell, KY on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 9:00-10:00 AM. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY. Memorial donations are suggested to: Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 18th St. NW, Washington D.C. 20006.
