James “Jim” Harley Alexander, age 88, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 7, 2025. He was born on May 3, 1937, in Poniac, Michigan to the late James H. Alexander Sr. and Gladys (Klein) Alexander.
Jim proudly served his country, spending four years in the United States Air Force before continuing his commitment in the Air Force Reserves. Following his military service, he built a successful career as a self-employed businessman through Jacyns Specialties.
In 1998, Jim married Patricia (Lee), and together they shared 27 wonderful years filled with faith, companionship, and cherished memories. Some of their favorite times were spent traveling to Panama City, Florida, especially when friends and family were able to join them.
A devoted Christian, Jim was an active member of Florence Baptist Temple Church in Burlington Kentucky. He lived out his faith daily through service, volunteering faithfully with the Kentucky Jail Ministry program and leading multiple Bible studies in assisted living communities. His heart for missions led him to short-term mission work in Mexico, where he and Patricia continued to share the message of hope they held so dearly.
Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia Alexander; his children, Debra Schrift, Randy Alexander, April DePaulis (Hugh), and Eric Alexander; step-children, Cheryl Hall and Lonnie Lynch; Son-in-law; Gary Bauer (Cynthia Bauer), and his brothers, Doug Alexander and Don Alexander, and their families.
