James “Jim” Edwin Hayes
James Edwin Hayes, age 80, died Sunday June 18th at St. Elizabeth HealthCare, Edgewood. He was a retired career Navy air traffic controller. He and his wife Norma Jean resided in Burlington. Other survivors include his 4 sons, James Michael, Timothy Edwin, Patrick Nicholas and Christopher Allen. One brother, Robert Hayes also survives him. James was “Pa Pa” to 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held Tuesday June 20, from 4-6pm, at Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday 12 noon at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery , North.

Thank the lord
Thank you Pa pa for being the wonderful man you are. Even though Tim and I weren’t married any more you still treated me with respect of a family member. I am so sorry that you suffered so much pain towards the end, but hopefully now may you Rest In Peace with our Lord. Please bring comfort for those who were close and dear to him. May they be comforted by the Lord and find peace in the days to come. Until we all meet again in the Kingdom of our Lord. Love you all, Evie
