Jerome Louis O’Dowd

Jerome Louis O’Dowd, of Florence, KY, passed away at the age of 76 on Monday, September 16, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. He was preceded in death by his brother John and parents John and Jean O’Dowd.

Devoted husband, caring father and devoted grandfather: Jerome is survived by his wife Paula O’Dowd; by Jacqueline Waddle, mother of his children: Renee O’Dowd and Tim (Molly) O’Dowd; granddaughter Mary O’Dowd; as well as his sister Joan (Chip) Olsen.

Jerome practiced law for over 45 years in the State of Ohio after obtaining his Juris Doctorate from the Chase Law School at the University of Cincinnati. Outside his legal vocation, Jerome was a man of various talents and interests. Countless numbers of his paintings grace the walls of his home and law office. However, painting was not the sum of Jerome’s creative expression. He was also committed to writing and the pursuit of culinary arts. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The O’Dowd family will receive host family members and friends during a Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, KY.
