Iris Smedley

Iris Jean Smedley, 83, of Florence, KY died peacefully on Monday July 1st, 2013 at her residence. She was a loving homemaker and she did clerical work for the IRS and GMAC for over 40 years. She also was a member of the Eastern Star and a long-time member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Covington She was preceded in death by her sisters, Julia Englekamp, Lillian Bidwell, and Virginia Tungate; her niece, Phyllis Mulligan and her nephew, Jerry Bidwell. She is survived by her husband, Frank Smedley of Florence; her son, Heath (Veronica) Smedley of Villa Hills; and her daughter, Beth (Michael) Conarroe of Ft. Mitchell. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Noah and Nicholas Smedley, and Colin and Charley Conarroe and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be deeply missed. Visitation will be on Saturday July 6th from 10AM-1PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 10th at 12PM at Trinity Episcopal Church 326 Madison Ave. Covington, KY 41011.
